Beretta moved silently through the sand. "UGH! A desert... well. Hopefully I can stay away from him as much as possible. That way I won't get hurt and everything will be just find that way." Beretta's tri-coloured mane whipped in winds. She was a quiet mare and was not one to easily trust someone, but if she was going to survive in Fronia herd-life was the easiest way to do so. She let a loud call escape her maw. She didn't really want to confront the stallion who just accepted her but she wanted to have him close enough that they could be safe... Safety. That's all I need... Safety.

Spotted Thunder's auds perked up when the sound of his new family member called for him. He lifted himself up, and quickly sped of in the direction of the call, dust billowing up behind him, and the sand and dust that was on him flew off as he ran. His black spotted whip cords, and his pure grey banner flew out be hind him like a two-tone flag. He slowed himself to a calm walk as he approached the mare. Welcome to Dahlin fair maiden, I hope you don't mind living in a desert, there wasn't much else for me to choose from for lands. But if it pleases you, I can take you to a place with water and food. Thunder bowed low as he spoke to the mare. Once he was finished talking he stood and watched the mare, wondering why he had the feeling that she didn't really want him around. Oh, my name is Spotted Thunder, you may call me Thunder if it pleases you, and may I know by what you go by? He asked sweetly, he didn't want to seem like a threat to her, in fact, he wanted her to like him, and he thought he had made a good impression, but you never know.

Beretta was stunned. The stallion was very proper, suave, and she had to admit it handsome. She bowed respectively and spoke, "Ah, ello. I'm Beretta. This is a nice place. Thank you for bringing me here." She had never been able to trust anyone, not that she had been around many horses. She always considered herself an outcast, only seeking to keep herself safe. But her heart longed for more.

Thunder smiled politely and nodded at the mare. It's my pleasure to have you here Beretta. Now if you'll follow me, I'll take you to the water and the food. Thunder had a feeling that Beretta didn't really trust him, but he knew that he could change that, and over time she may even come to love him. She is beautiful. He told himself as he started to walk towards the watering hole. He kept looking back once in a while to make sure that she was still following him.

Beretta walked behind the spotted stallion for awhile and then she trotted up beside him. "I am quite hungry,"she giggled, "So, why choose a desert out of all the other land," she questioned. A snake crossed in front of the pair and Beretta reared before landing on the snake, killing it. She was astonished of herself.

Thunder's auds swiveled to face Beretta as she spoke. I chose here because all that was left was a place almost completely covered in magma, a land of dust, and a land like this but with less water. I thought a desert was a better place to live than those I guess. I've never really thought of if. He shrugged his shoulders as he spoke, and was cought off guard when Beretta killed a snake. Good job Beretta, I didn't even see it. Oh well, just a little further now and we should be at the watering hole. The words came out with pride in them, and Thunder was proud.

Beretta laughed, Yes, I suppose this is better than magma. She playful flicked some sand onto Thunder. Her pale eyes were sparkling. She was still wary of the stallion but shockingly enjoyed his company.

Thunder smiled and nodded at Beretta's words. He snorted and shook the sand off of him. Oh, so you wanna play that game huh? He asked playfully as he kicked some sand onto Beretta's hooves and ran a little ways away, turning around to see if she was going to chase after him, and continue their new game in the sand.

Beretta smiled shyly. She considered not playing, but she was the new Beretta. Yeah big boy, Let's go. And she took off at a gallop her banner blowing in the wind. She kicked more sand toward Thunder. She raised her head to the sky and whinnied loudly.

Thunder smiled and laughed a little at Beretta's words. He lifted his head and let out a playful neigh as he turned his head away from the sand that had been kicked up at him. He smiled and kicked some sand up at Beretta before turning on his heels and bolting away in the opposite direction.

Beretta followed she kept up to Thunder effortlessly. She passed him once then eased up. I haven't had that much fun in... forever. She kept chasing Thunder making hoofprints in the sand and whinnying with joy.

Thunder smiled and laughed as Beretta relaxed more around him, and continued to chase him. He slid to a halt and faced the mare. I thought you were hungry? He asked, panting for breath. He had never run so much in his life before, but he liked running with Beretta, he didn't know why, he just did.

I was just thinking that! Beretta skidded to a stop and trotted over to Thunder. What fun that was! But yes, let's go eat. Beretta shook the dust from her skewbald pelt. At least it's too dry for bugs.

Thunder smiled and laughed a little at Beretta's antics. Follow me and I'll take you to the food. He said kindly as he started to walk towards where the food was. I wouldn't be too sure of that Beretta, this place might be dry, but it's not exactly bug free. Stated Thunder blandly, he had been all around this area, and had seen a few bugs, but not many.

Well maybe just the running has kept the flies off. Beretta trotted along gleefully, trying not to kick up to much sand. Since this is a desert, do we live in like an oasis of sorts? Beretta questioned and turned her auds to Thunder for his answer.
