Thanks, safety is key to survival, and not just in a desert. Beretta was a little tired so she laid down underneath a tree. She tried not to stare at Thunder but it seemed as if her eyes were glued to him.

Thunder nodded at Beretta's words. Yes, but there is so much more to survival than just safty Beretta. I'm sure I will eventually teach you that. His words weren't harsh, or mean, but gentle, and sorta guiding. Get some sleep, we can talk more when you wake up. Thunder had no intention of sleeping, not when he had a mare to watch over and protect.

Yes, but ah. It doesn't matter now. Good Night. She drifted off into sleep. She dreamed of the night she was born.

Good night my dear Beretta. Thunder smiled and walked a little ways away so that he could keep a better watch for any sort of danger that might threaten his herd. I will eventually get a tight-nit herd, at least then it will be easier to keep watch over them. He sighed at the thought from his past. He wouldn't let something like that happen to his herd, even if it meant loosing his life.

During Beretta's fitful sleep she caught glimpses of Thunder patrolling. She wondered if he had slept at all. This land seemed quite remote and typically free of danger. But then again Beretta had not been here long. Beretta woke and shook away the nightmares of her lost mother. Thunder was no where in sight.
She got up, stretched and slurped heavily from the pool of water nearby.

Thunder watched Beretta's fitful sleep for a while, then he trotted off, patrolling his lands. By the time he had returned Beretta was already awake and drinking. Good morning Beretta. The words were as polite as any equine could have possibly managed.

Not so good. I feel horrible. But, likewise, morning it is Thunder. If I can, may i ask why you spent all night patrolling? It's not healthy to stay awake so much. Beretta's caring nature often came off as a bit nosy.

Thunder smiled and shook the dust from his pelt. It's cooler at night, so therefore, it's easier to patrol at night. He shrugged his shoulders as he answered Beretta's question, he didn't even notice that she was being nosy, I guess it's because he's been alone for so long.

Almost too cold. Funny thing, hunh? A dry desert, that is colder than the Helenovia Mountains at night. Fronia is a funny world. Many surprises in store for this ole mare. Beretta laughed at herself. She wasn't good at entertaining company, she had been alone soo long that she had actually shunned company. But it was nice to have him around.

That's just the way of Fronia I guess. And there are many surprises for the both of us. Thunder smiled and couldn't help but laughing. They were both right though, there were many surprises for the both of them, and if Thunder had any say in the matter, they would find those surprises together, with each other for company, and suport.

{OOC: WOOT! You hit 100 posts lol.}
Beretta didn't reply to the stallion. She was happy with his silent company. She moved from the water and over to a bush. She smelled the leaves. They smelled safe. She grabbed a mouthful and chewed. Not dead yet.

Thunder stood silently on a little hill of sand a little ways away from everything. He watched the scene before him unfold, and felt happy knowing that he played a part in it. Maybe everything will be alright afterall. He smiled at the thought and could help but feel a little hopeful at what the future might hold.
