Lila a lone mare who is not alone

Lila wandered over the grass filled land. The season had changed to fall and the trees were starting to color like they always did during this time. She was now about 7 months pregnant and in another 4 months at the end of winter her foal would arrive. Lila nibbled on some grass. Would she have found a herd that would except her foal by then or would she have to give birth on her own. It was the question that lay in her mind but not something she could answer. Lila raised her head as she walked. Fall was nice but she could not wait for spring to arrive and her foal. lila - sonjanine

The painted stallion trotted into the homeless. He was eager to build up his herd once more, eager to produce more offspring, and eager to rule. He missed all three things and it wasn't until recently that he had started craving power. Although he was a Dark, it seemed only natural to have power. He had never craved it that much until now. He had no evil plot or plan, but he wanted power. And it was power that he was going to get. Anubis arched his neck a bit, his sharp blue eyes scanning the terra. Mares were in season and he did his best to compose himself. His ebon auds pinned slightly. If he could, he'd claim all the mares, but he wasn't that desperate.

He slowed his pace to a walk, still glancing around. He was sure Razorblade would appreciate some company seeing as how their twin daughters were out of the nest and on their own. He was sure the mare hated being alone. Although she had him, the females always needed other females to keep them company. It was something stallions would never understand. But that's just the way it is.

It wasn't long before he spotted a lone Friesian mare. He eyed her for a bit, hesitating on approaching her. Pursing his lips, he walked towards the mare. His ebon auds perked slightly as he formed a smile on his pale kissers. He halted before the pretty ebon mare. Hello I'm Anubis, King of Aquarian. You are? One thing he noticed about the mare was that she was pregnant. He knew his odds with breeding with the mare were practically none, but he didn't care. There would be a time in the future for them to have a foal. But then again, he'd have to claim the mare first before any of this could happen. And then again, he'd have to know her name and for her to choose him. He searched the mare's dark eyes as he waited for a response from her. She certainly was a pretty mare and he could only hope that she would become his.

Lila enjoyed the peace and the grass she ate. It was a strange time. Never had she been alone for this long . Well technicali spoken she was not really alone. The foal in her belly was with her. As she looked up from the grazing she was doing to watch her surroundings a horse caught her attention. It was to far from her at this moment to see what it was or who. Had her herd stallion found her. Had she not ran away far enough so he could not find her. Had she been not clear enough that she was leaving, never to return. Lila her ears dropped to the back of her neck. She would not return to him, she would fight for her freedom and that of her foal.

As the horse came closer and the sun showed its markings somewhat Lila relaxed. This was a paint stallion, but this more looked like a full blood not a cross as the foals father had been. As he came even closer then stopped infront of her she waited. Her ears went from back in her neck to curious stand to back in her nech and so on. "Hello I'm Anubis, King of Aquarian. You are?" the stallion introduced himself. Lila noticed him checking her out. It was not difficult to see that she was carrying.

As their eyes met she looked back for a moment before looking away . His white face made him look not dangerous but with this kind of stallions you could never be sure. " I am Lila and i am somewhat alone, no queen of anything" she said. She moved her head to her belly. "Somewhat alone" she said again to make sure he had really noticed it. She was not fat. Looking back she took in the stallion Anubis in front of her. Would he , could he, be here to chase her of his lands. She had not really thought about if these lands belonged to anyone. Would she need to fight for their lives, for hers and her foals with this stallion? Cause she was sure that she was in no condition to fight and survive at this moment. Carefully she took a few passes back creating a bit more room between them. " Are you here to kill me?" she asked. There was some fear but mostly determination in her voice and body language.
