He walked in the sand and stopped. Raising his head he took in the smells. His right front hoof scrapped the sand before he walked on. Still he wandered alone, still he looked for company but he was an adult stallion, he was alone and he was white. Reaching a small puddle he lowered his head to drink . The cold water felt good as the sun brought his white coat even more to the survice. A fly on his bum was chased off with a movement of his tale. Alone he was still. Kaotannin - sonjanine

Dark pools scanned the horizon. She new what it was like to be alone, for she had been abandoned, and left to fend for herself more than once. White colored hooves made soft thuds as she walked through the sand, heading towards a small pool she had visited many times in the months that she had stayed in the homeless grounds. Her face was a mask, a mask that was hiding the inner feelings of of this painted mare. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw a stallion drinking from the pool she had come to know as her own. Without relaxing, she cautiously approached the pool, and the stallion.

He had felt the movements in the sand before her shadow had caught his eyes. His body had stayed relaxed as he drank from the water. Lifting his head he then slowly turned to look to the horse that approached him. His eyes went from fore to back trying to see what this mare wanted. She looked as as tense as he was feeling. "hello" he softly said " i am Kaotinnin" he added . His eyes stayed on him as his ears started to turn to listen to the surroundings to see what would happen. Was she alone, was she dark, was she light , what was she and what did she come here for.

Her auds swiveled in their bay sockets as she watched the stallion carefully. She didn't know if she should trust him or not. All she knew was that he was a strange stallion, and she was a lone neutral mare. My name is Mystika's Mosrael. She wasn't going to tell her that her friends called her Mystika, because she had no friends. All of her friends had homes, and families of their own, and she wasn't going to ruin their lives by dropping in on them unexpectedly, and pushing her problems on them. No, she was going to bare her problems alone, and she was going to do it with all of the elegance and grace that a bay paint Mangalarga Marchador could muster. She had lived by herself for at least two years now, and in that time, any mare would learn how to take care of themselves. Her dark optics scanned the white pelted stallion standing before her. She stood tall, and proud at an even 16 hands. She had come here for a drink, and no stallion, no matter how dark, was going to stop her. She cautiously approached the water, and lowered her maw to the water's surface. She took her time drinking, but her eyes remained on the stallion. She didn't know if he was alone, or if he was a dominating dark that wished to expand his "kingdom".

The way she acted around him, made kao think that she was alone. Ofcourse he could never be sure, but he had that impression. As she walked to the water hole to take a drink, he stepped a bit back to allow her to relax more. He was not up to anythin bad. He was mostly here to drink himself. He watched her as she drank. She was a beautiful mare and he was sure she was slightly older then he was. How long had she wandered here? he watched her wondering jut that.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Mystika's Mosrael. Are you , like me alone, or are you waiting for your stallion?"he asked her. He did not want to intrude on her but maybe they could have a conersation. Slowly he stepped back to the water hole and lowered his head to take another drink. Kao knew it could happen that she would run now, scared he was dark and out to get her, but he was not. He never was like that.

Bay auds twitched slightly as she watched the stallion carefully. There was something about the way he had stepped back to allow her to drink without feeling his presence as overpowering, well, I'll say that fora lack of a better word. She lifted her maw from the water as he spoke to her. I am alone, and have been for for longer than you shall ever know. The pain she felt from being abandoned was just barely audible in her voice, but for anyone to hear it, they would have to be paying close attention to the way she spoke. She stepped away from the water when he approached it again. It was plain to her that he wished to converse with her, but without making her run away from him, as she had done from so many stallions that might have wanted to take her home with them. She didn't know much about this stallion, but she could tell that he was intelligent, at least, more so than the others that she had met. Her bay colored auds swiveled a little in their sockets as she watched the stallion carefully. She had the impression that he was here to drink, just as she was, but then again, you can't always trust first impressions.

" I am alone, and have been for for longer than you shall ever know". His head turned down, his eyes reaching the floor. Why did they always asume they knew best? He shook his manes a bit before he looked back up. " I been alone for several years now, no herd, no land and no friends, did i have till recently" he spoke softly. He had just claimed a small land as his own as he wished to settle down finaly. he had given up hope that he would find his mother and find the answer as to why she had left him the way she had. Stepping from the small pool to the more sandy part he scraped his right front hoof in the sand and looked up. " One day i will have a friend, a herd, a family and maybe the truht" he spoke more to the sky above then the mare in his company. He had often done that just because he then had the feeling someone was listening to him. Suddenly his ears started turning as his hoofs felt movement. But it vanished fast enough and he relaxed again. " sorry" he said hoping he had not scared her. Kaotinnin - Sonjanine

Mystika's bay auds twitched a little as she watched him. She knew what it was like to be alone, and have no friends. She couldn't say she had no family, for she had a daughter, one that she had hoped never to see again, but rumor has it that a draft mare has come looking for her mother, and Mystika had a feeling it was her daughter. She shook her bay painted cranium and nodded apologetically at the white stallion in front of her. So, you have no one to call your friend huh? I guess we have that in common. She didn't know why but she had a strange urge to get out of the homeless grounds. She has had that urge since she heard about her daughters arrival in Fronia. She needed to get out of this place, and into a land were her daughter wouldn't find her, and this stallion provided the answer to that problem. I guess I could learn to trust stallions again. But remember, I won't hesitate to protect myself with force if necessary. She had just agreed to go with that stallion to the land that he called home. She didn't know how he would interpret what she had said, but she didn't really care either.

Kao looked at the female. She seemed to be alone like he was. "I have to tell you there is one little foal on my lands. He does not have a mother and he is a bit weary of stallions. I have taken him under my protection" he told her. he did not want her to think that the only reason he was taking her to his lands was because he needed a mare there. he liked her and he was going to take care of her when he needed and was asked to. She ofcourse was always able to tell him when he needed to bug out and she would never be forced to do anything she did not want to. He would claim her as his but she would always stay her own. Kao looked again at her and nodded. "Mystika's Mosrael may i ask you if i could be permitted to claim you as a mare in my herd and escord you to my lands?" he asked her. He wanted to do it officially and he wanted her to have the ability to say what she wanted. In his herd all mares would be the same. No one would be different then the other. No higher then the next. There would be one exception and that would be the mare that would be able to capture his heart.

Mystika's bay auds twitched as she listened to him tell her about the little foal he had in his lands. I guess we could be a family. She nodded her cranium to the stallion and silently chided herself for her thoughts. She didn't know why, but she couldn't help thinking that she might have a second chance at the family she never really had.
She looked at the stallion with one eyebrow raised as he asked if he could claim her. Seriously? He's actually asking me? She had never heard of a stallion actually asking a mare if they could be "permitted" to claim them. She sighed, and nodded at the silly stallion in front of her. She even smiled briefly. After you. She nodded her head in indecation that he should lead her to her new home.
