A slim form made it's way along calmly, red banner flicking over the blue hocks. The mare in question was a beautiful quarter horse mare, something she detested, her breeding that is. The beauty she was grateful for that way she could attract stallions. Her son was nearing his second or third year and she needed another foal, hopefully another colt but a filly would be just fine. Either way she would not accept a quarter horse stud, she was going to ruin her lines so she wanted a mutt of a stallion. She slowed to a halt, pressing her haunches again a tree and released a summoning call but settling down to wait. She was Anima Chiara, dam of Anima Eterna, younger sib to Anima Scura and the youngest and favored daughter of Anima Taglienta. She hated the Anima lines, or at least her sire's will. She would destroy those lines, but what stallion would even dare to try? Hopefully a good strong one, and she would pick the best there was, nothing would change her mind.

Well, I'm a mutt, and I'm strong too.
He was just over 16 hands at the withers. His spotted body was lean and strong and he strutted through the Breeding Grounds, perfectly proud of the fact that he had no mare here to breed; he was here just to find one. The Arabian/Friesian stallion was young, but it was hard to tell. His eyes were dark and cold; he had an extreme lack of care toward anyone besides his crazed mother Myar. And she'd dissapeared in the move across the continents. Yes, he'd followed Pordor, his father, but he had no love, not even a healthy dose of respect for the dark stallion. He was simply waiting for the day when he would overthrow him.
But going back to the subject...
It wasn't long before the colt-turned-stallion saw a very pretty mare. She was not of his breed, but what was his breed anyway? he wasn't picky when choosing mares anyway. And so it was with the cocky ways of the young and also of his mother's desert breed that he strutted toward the mare, head held high. He reached her front, seeing as he couldn't reach the back, and he nodded a greeting. His masculine frame was taught with the waves of excitement beginning to roll from him. He was in a good mood. With something close to a smile, though most would call it a smirk, Pordor's heir/killer-to-be spoke with confidence.
Name's Phocas. What should I call you?
It doesn't even have to be a name. We both know we won't be seeing each other long.

Chiara eyed the young stallion that was moving his way towards her calmly. Sizing him up. Obviously he was a mutt, but it seemed to be a first generation thing, sort of like Eterna, though Eterna's sire really couldn't claim any lineage cept that of a mutt. Perhaps this wouldn't be too bad of a cross? She may have wanted a mutt for a sire of her second foal, but she also wanted a cross that would result in an attractive horse, for how else would the lines continue to be destroyed? She returned his nod slightly, orbs never leaving his frame. Young, as young as she had been when she'd foaled Eterna. She shifted slightly, still watching him as he spoke his name. Phocas? What the hell did that mean? No matter. "Chiara." She said simply. What would the chances be that she would ever see this stallion again anyways? Probably never unless he sought out the offspring, and this child would be hers. Of course in case her sire surfaced again she would need protecting. The thought dawned on her to return every year to find another stallion so that he would have to protect her mainly because she had given him a foal, and if her first was anything to go by she might end up giving them an heir that they so desperately wanted all the time. "Shall we hurry this along? I need to return to my son." She said calmly, moving forward from the tree. Ah poor guy, no innocent mare did you find, she knew exactly what was coming, as much as she hated it. All in the name of destruction really. She flicked her banner slightly before balancing her weight, waiting for the stallion. Her harks flicked slightly. She had told Eterna to stay put where he would be safe, but had the youngster listened to her? She doubted it, so she really needed to get back to him.

Well then, I suppose I'll try to hurry this thing along.
Surprisingly, or not surprisingly, enough, this will be the first mare Phocas has ever bred. Daww! Isn't dat so sweet? Well, not really, but it sounded cute, not like he's cute or anything, nah, he's a tough guy, just young.
And maybe that's why he's out here. When Phocas heard her name he acknowledged it with another nod. He wasn't much for words, what can I say?
She had a son. Wow. She had been busy. But only one, so at least he was only second in what would apparently become a long line of stallions. It made him feel kinda proud, in a weird way. At least he wasn't gonna be last.
But moving on...
She turned in the proper direction for him to get started, he snorted, and let nature take its course. Instincts work like that, you know. Last time I checked, how-to-make-babies lessons do not exist. But he was quick about it, and, being male, he'd gotten a wonderful experience as well. Dismounting, Phocas smiled a bit, must be the hormones, nodded a final time, and spoke,
My home is Kolia.
You know, in case you need something or...whatever.
And then he turned and trotted away. His job was done.
Congrats, Phocas. You're a father.Phocas; 3 years; Friesian/Arabian/Unknown; 16.3 hands; Dark; www.friesianheritage.com/images/Thumbnails/Orca%20hh%208556crop.jpg

Don't mean to intervene or anything, but you guys don't have to role play the breeding out, you can just post the stats if you'd like. but if you wish to role play it out, that's fine too :]

((Only rped it out because Chiara was just going to go with a random stallion and it was a spur of the moment thing ^.^))
Chiara shook herself once the stallion was done and mentioned that he lived in Kolia. Her harks flicked, acknowledging his words and storing them. It must not be his own lands then if he wasn't going to try and take her back to them. Did that mean he was the heir of the lands or he was a subordinate. She shrugged inwardly before moving away at a trot. Didn't matter to her unless she absolutely needed protection for her and her children. Now she just had to wait and return to her son. Should she take Eterna to the foaling grounds when she was due? More than likely, he would be safest near her.

Congratulations! It's a Colt!Height When Fully Grown: 16 hands
Breed: Hybrid
Alliance: Dark
Coloration Apperance: This little guy will be of the pinto coloring like his father, only it'll be a light chestnut when he's born. As he gets older, it'll roan out into a roan color. Both his mane and tail will be a mixture of red and white colors.
Physical Appearence: The colt will mature to be 16 hands high. Even though he takes after his father's coat pattern, he also has some of his features. With the Friesian and Arabian in him, he'll be pretty lean and graceful, but he'll also be a bit stocky and muscular due to the Quarter Horse in him.
Birthing: The birthing will be a little difficult for the mare since the foal is going to be a little large. Both mare and foal should be fine though, just the normal complications. Both mare and foal will need lots of rest though.
The due date of the foal is September 6, 2009. If the foal is born before this date, it'll be a stillborn.

who would you like to play him? and what about names? I was thinking Anima Oscura, means Obscure Blood. open to anything else, but I would like Anima to be the first part of his name since she's trying to ruin her lines with her colts v.v

Sounds fine to me. Oscura is apparently Spanish for Dark as well. So it's kinda like Dark Blood and Obscure Blood. I can play him. I doesn't have an Anima to play. And now I shall.
