C A V E L L A!
I knew it had been wayyyy too long since I'd last seen the pale brute who had claimed me. I had certainly been curious as to why he hadn't called up his mares and demanded why they hadn't been around. That's what I wanted in fact. I wanted a leader who knew how to lead. A stud who knew how to take control. To me, this pale pathetic piece of crap seemed like a waste of my time and I was on the verge of leaving the land for good. I was a Dark after all and being around this petty stallion who seemed too wimpy for my liking and his ridicuously Light mare, was driving me insane. But then again, I'd left the pair alone. I'd abandoned them and went off on my own to explore my "home" and it's neighboring lands. It wasn't until recently that I remembered that I had a home.
I held my form tall and proud as I trotted elegantly back into the borders of Sentia. I wasn't really thrilled about being back, but I was going to have at least some respect for the stallion and be here, it was the least I could do after all. The scents in the land weren't fresh, but they were present. I let a snort escape my nares as I continued on. I could only hope that the stallion hadn't abandoned his land, and if he had, I'd be back on my own. But then again, I'd be perfectly fine with that. My dark hooves crushed fallen red and orange leaves as I trudged on, my dark brown eyes looking for any equine in which I knew and which I didn't; there was none. My lips pursed as I could only wonder and semi-hope that the stallion had left and abandoned the nest. But then again, stallions didn't usually do that, but some might. Who knew.
It wasn't long before I heard the cool flow of the stream. It certainly had been calling my name and in my haste, I changed my direction just a bit. My grey auds perked as I spotted the stream. My dry throat called out for the cool liquid to sooth it. I didn't stop at the edge of the stream, but rather went right into the water, not caring how cold it was. I lowered my broad neck and let the cool water run down my throat, filling my thirst. It felt good to finally have a nice fresh drink after a some what strenuous journey. Once I had drunken my fill, I brought my neck back up and stepped out of the stream, standing at the edge facing away from it. My auds swiveled lightly as I looked around. I was still alone. I lifted my maw slightly into the air and let out my call. My auds remained perked as I stood there, listening for any callbacks. It was time for the moment of truth whether I was really alone or not.
