Chestnut roan frame jogged along easily. She wasn't the usual chestnut roan though. Auburn banner flicked over her blue haunches. Her dial turned slightly as she called out for her son who was starting to lag behind.
She slowed to a walk then a halt a few moments later, flinging her dial high to look around herself. She was Anima Chiara, youngest daughter of Anima Tagliente and Blood Raven. She had been bred for purity of lines, color, and conformation. She was out to ruin her lines, hence why she had her son. Eterna was as far as purebred as she could manage, his sire had had no clue as to what breeds made up his lineage so her son was only half-quarter horse.
She sighed gently, pleased that her sire seemed to have dissapeared so that she wouldn't be hunted and her son killed. No stallion except for the purest and oddest of coloring could be allowed to live.
A soft snort escaped her nares as she looked about her through dark chocolate orbs. So where was this stallion that had claimed her and her son? She half-reared and released a high-pitched neigh as she settled to stand, one hind-hoof relaxing so only that the toe rested on the ground.
Eterna was jogging behind his dam, his stride was rangier than his dam's but his legs where shorter so he was able to keep up with her decently, but he was getting bored. He'd rather be back with his sire. He snorted loudly, shaking his dial so that his ebony mane flew about him before settling down slightly.
His harks flicked backwards when his dam called to him and he shifted into a lope just to make her happy though he slowed right back down when she wasn't paying attention and slid to a halt when she had.
His dial automatically dropped to the ground to start ripping at grasses. Let his dam worry about formalities. He was barely a yearling so what did he need to worry about? There was safety in his legs anyways. Endurance was nothing that he was lacking in already.
He sighed slightly when his dam called out and lifted his dial, though still chewing. His dark eyes flicked around the area quickly, looking for the stallion and taking in the lay of the lands. If he new his dam and stallions he would be spending two years here before he was run off or just left.
Then he could get away from his over-bearing dam though he guessed her fears where rightly placed. After all, his grandsire wanted to murder him if he was ever found that is. That was almost enough to make the colt paranoid but still he was too laid back to worry about it. Especially since his dam would make well aware that they were perhaps in danger. He grumbled slightly, not liking to have to be under another for protection but knowing he needed it for now.
