Danae was my calling, normally you right it with the little dots over the 'e' but I shed those. It is an easy name to say, but its meaning is very complicated to understand. It is the name I share with the greek goddess of parched throats, Danae. And the goddess is the only one I will share my name with, the only one. My twin sister, whose name I have forgotten, my identical twin tried to be like me, but I killed her, splashing her blood on the ground. I killed my mother, also, the monstrosity that had bore us to life. Then I found out from my sire that I had one remaining sibling, Tethys, who they had hid away from me long ago, and this was the information that spared his miserable life. I am now searching for Tethys, looking for the last remaining one of the brood I shared blood with. I tossed my beautiful bay and white head, black forelock falling out of blue optics. I gave a shrill whinny to the king of this land. I demanded to be lead and nothing less.

Nazgul lifted his great black head when he heard a call for him. He snorted and pinned his auds at this intrusion. The scent might have been that of a mare, but in a land full of ash, and volcanic gas, it was a little hard to sort them out. He picked himself up into a quick canter in the direction of the intruder. He slowed himself to a halt and stared at the little mare. Why have you intruded on my lands mare? The words were harsh, cruel, and full of hate. He didn't remember claiming any mares, so why was this little mare in his land? Let's find out.

I found myself looking up into the eyes of a big brute. His words bounced off of me harmlessly. Harsh, cruel, hatred filled... I created those! Oh, it seems I have, doesn't it. I flicked my whipcord as my bright blue eyes stared down the brute. To tell you the truth I can't exactly say why I came to this hellish place. And I must say, you have got to be quite a weak brute to end up with poor pickings like THIS!I hissed as a loud crash broke through the air, my back foot breaking through the charred, hardened magma surface. There was a hiss of poison gas and a little bit of magma streamed out of the hole. It flowed downhill. This place is a deathtrap. I cackled. I tossed my head and screamed. I LOVE IT! I reared and came crashing down, my front hooves breaking the surface again and I watched as hot magma drifted all directions out of my new geyser, I danced around the flows. You are exactly what I needed. You'll do perfectly. I murmured quietly. I needed to find a nice, strong brute to have strong foals with, my 'minions' I guess you could say, and send them out, looking for my sister. So what do you call yourself, hellion? I asked, my voice seductivly evil.

Nazgul bared his ivory fangs as he listened to the mare. Maybe you're not as bad as I thought little mare. This hellion as she called him, watched as the little bay mare danced around the molten geysers. My name is Nazgul, and why have you come looking for a dark, dangerous land, with a dark, dangerous stallion like myself? The words were low, threatening, and challenging at the same time. He didn't know what it was, but something about this insane little bay mare seemed to draw him to her. Whatever it was made him want to keep her for his own, and he was going to. His large, black, feathered daggers cut holes in the molten rock as he walked around the mare, looking her over. She might be a good queen for my new hell. The thought made him laugh, a choked, brutal sound.

I smiled. It seemed I was finally getting through to this brute. Nazgul I murmured. A nice name, a strong name. At his next words I laughed. Nazgul, you are no more dark or dangerous than the last dark, dangerous one. I've come to you with a proposition that could change all that. You could say I've come with I paused, looking for the right words. Family problems. You see, I have this annoying little sister who I swore to kill and I can't NOT kill her, and I ain't going to be around forever, so I figured why not settle down, make a brood, and have them waste their lives trying to kill her! I cackled, the organized words collapsing into a maddened rant.I straightned herself. Atleast look for her for a few years, bring her back as a prize, a mare for you, a few foals for you, sweet victory for me. My eyes glinted evily as I pushed up next to him. So what do you say we put a little effort into makeing the Nazgul/Danae line? I asked seductivly.

Nazgul's fangs gleamed menacingly in the dim light of Elysia, his black auds pinned against his black skull as he listened to the mares words, and one huge, black, blades digging deep into the molten rock. Your family problems are no concern of mine, but your proposition intrigues me. I will only help you if the foals you bare are worthy of my blood. And with those words flowing out of his mouth like the magma that flowed over the earth, he turned and walked off towards the breeding grounds.
