Mystika couldn't help but laugh when Jab told her how long he had been here. Alright, then I guess this is a new experience for both of us. She smiled and had to duck out of the way of a low hanging branch. She smiled and picked up the pace a little, she was still trotting, but it seemed as though she were cantering.

This isn't the only thing i'm new at. Thoughts of a foal ran through his mind again. Mystika sped up but he mainted his slow pace. A family... like I never had.He mumbled the words quietly.

Crap! Jab stumbled over a branch. I said uh keep your eyes out for danger. He thought that was a horrible save of himself. I think there's a cave up ahead to the west. It's a good resting place, if you'd like

Mystika smiled and nodded at Jabs words. It sounds nice, and I always do. It was her first instinct to make sure she didn't get hurt. She smiled and flicked her banner around to rid her self of the pests as she moved along.

She's really a good mare to have around. Jab might have been content if it just stayed as him and Mystika in the herd. Then again, maybe she didn't feel quite the same way about him. he walked on and pondered these thoughts. Let's stop here, I'll show you the shelter. There's a nice water pool too. Jab trotted up past Mystika and playfully swished his tail in her face.

Mystika smiled and nodded at Jabs words. I wonder what's going through his mind... She had a feeling that all was not well with Jab, but she didn't know what it was, so she couldn't help to fix it. She snorted nipped at Jabs tail when he swished it in her face, and laughed. A nice cool drink sounds nice about now. She stated a little hint of her weariness hidden in her voice. She needed to rest her limbs, and regain some energy.

Easy with the tail! He laughed, he wished to confront Mystika with his thoughts but just shook them away again. Jab trotted up to the water and right through it. He plopped himself down in the clear water and took a drink. Whoops. Maybe i shoulda said ladies first.

Mystika smiled and laughed at Jabs words. Yes, maybe you should have. As soon as the words left her maw she jumped into the water, splashing everything. She sighed and laid herself down at the edge of the water, and took a nice long drink.

Man, good thing we don't live in a desert. We waste more water playing around then we drink. Good thing the whole place is surrounded by it. Jab moved over to Mystika and nudged her with his hoof gently. You afraid of bats?he asked childishly.

Mystika nodded and laughed. You have a good point, and no i'm not afraid of bats. Are you? She stood and shook the water from her pelt. Lead the way. She pointed towards the cave with a foreleg, and waited for him to lead the way.

Maybe I am. Is that a problem, a lead afraid of bats? he giggled and nudged the mare with his rump as he walked past her. Let's goooo! Jab walked cautiously into the cave, acting as if he was scared. He really wasn't he just wanted to hear his precious companion laugh. Maybe we'll talk about serious things another day.

Mystika laughed and followed Jab into the cave. Faker It was just a whispered word lost on the wind, but Mystika knew it was true and was going to prove it. She approached as silently as she could, her hooves making a light clicking noise. I'll wait until he's not expecting it, then I"ll show him who's scared. She had her moments of brutality, but this wasn't one of those, she was just trying to play around with Jab, that's all.

The horses went deeper into the cave. Jab's shoulder brushed against the side, the space was getting smaller. The only sounds were the clicking of hooves. Jab squinted his eyes to get accustomed to the darkness. He wasn't really scared, but he didn't want anyone hurt.
