Mystika's Mosrael shook the flies from her neck and looked around at her new home. Well, better than before. She told herself. She sighed as she slowly carried herself further into the land. She lifted her maw and called out for the one who had claimed her to show himself. Better not be some overweight, pompus draft. She thought to herself, silently hoping that it wouldn't be.

Jab snuck quietly through a bush and whinnied at Mystika, trying to be playful. "Ello. I'm Jab. Thanks for coming."
He stepped out of the brush and showed his long legs. At first glance you assumed Jab was a stockier breed or perhaps a draft, but he was a gaited horse. His dad, who had a bit of Quarter Horse in his lineage had definitely influenced Jab's full figure.
Jab bowed toward the mare, " Welcome... to Neliae."

Mystika's ears stood erect at the sound of her claimer's voice, pinpointing where he was. She sighed at the sight of him. Great...a draft. She thought to herself, and let her auds fall back to their relaxed position. My name is Mystika's Mosrael. It is nice to meet you Jab. Mystika lowered her head in respect for the stallion as she spoke. I guess living with a draft is better than living in nowhere'sville. She thought silently hoping that she was wrong about him.

Jab noticed a look in the mare's eyes. She held some stereotype in her mind. Whatever, maybe I can make her happy here, he thought.
"Pleased to make you acquaintance Mystika's Mosrael. I'm glad you've joined me here on this almost island. We happen to be alone right now in the herd." Jab noticed he put too much emphasis on the word alone. He shook his head to rid of pests and surveyed his newest herd member a little closer.

One of Mystika's auds perked a little when he said the word "alone". She hated being part of a large herd. Her bay coat shivered as she tried to rid herself of pests. My pleasure Jab. A big place like this does deserve some inhabitants. Even if it's just a draft and a Mangalarga Marchador. She thought silently as she spoke. Her black and white banner flicked lazily at the pests around her. Her deep, brown pools surveyed the stallion in front of her carefully. There was something about him that seemed to be different from all of the other drafts she had ever encountered.

The look in the mare's eyes made Jab think that she was perhap suspicious of him. He had nothing but the finest intentions. So, if you don't mind me asking. What brings you to Neliae?" Jab's stomach had been rumbling so, while he waited for the mare to reply he munched heartily on the grass near his feet. And join for a bit of lunch while your telling, why don't ya?

Mystika's auds twitched a little as she listened to the stallion talk. I came because you claimed me. She stated bluntly, well, he did ask her what brought her here, and she told him the truth. What more do you want? A full step-by-step map? I ate on my way here, but thank you anyways. She said politely. She didn't really know what this stallion was trying to do, but she had a feeling that he wasn't going to harm her so she relaxed a little, but kept her pools and auds open, watching and listening for any sign of trouble.

Jab chuckled, "Thanks for being so straightforward..." He paused and thought, geesh... she's going to be a toughie. "Ah yes, but obviously you've came from somewhere." Jab grazed quietly keeping his blue orbs on the mare.

Mystika's bodice stiffened a little as he questioned about where she came from. My pleasure. I came from my parents. She stated blandly. It was the truth, where else would she have come from? A squirrel? I think not.

"Ah yes. Quite the truth." Jab turned from the mare and rolled his eyes. He walked away from her a little unsure of what to do. He turned back to her and stared at her through his deep blue eyes... What was he going to have to do to get through to her?

Mystika shook her carcass, riding it of pests. She sighed and slowly walked away from the stallion when he turned from her. Her bay coat shining in the sun. She lifted her cranium to the sky and watched as the clouds slowly rolled past, wishing she knew what to do about the situation she was in. She sighed heavily and lowered herself to the ground, and started rolling in the dirt. A good dust bath should keep the pests away. She thought to herself, but it didn't keep one pest away, the pest of her thoughts.

Jab walked out of the mare's sight yet still where he could watch her. Ha, I've taken to a bit of stalking,he thought. Next to him was a cool pool of water. He splashed into it thigh deep hoping to attract his one-mare herd's attention.

Mystika sighed as she laid over on her stomach when she had finished rolling around in the dirt. Her auds perked at the sound of splashing and turned her head in that direction.I wonder what he is up to...Might as well go find out. She thought to herself with a little bit of a sigh. She picked herself up from where she was laying and calmly walked over to him.
She raised one eyebrow when she reached him. She shook her head and lowered her maw to the water, and began to drink up the water contendedly. If he splashes me...so help me I'll dunk him. She thought to herself, keeping her eyes on him.

Jab flashed a playful eye to her thinking, "Why don't you do more than drink?" He then decided against splashing at her and just continued to soak his body.
The sun peeked through the clouds and shone onto Mystika's paint patterned skin. Jab watched her thoughtfully as she drank and moved closer to her. Her profile was very stunning, because of her being an exotic breed. He had never been this close to a mare, even though the pair had some issues to work out.

Mystika eyed the stallion carefully, his bay bodice standing out in the little reflection on the water. She lifted her skull and looked at him, a little hint of a smile pulling at the sides of her maw. She turned and trotted away smoothly, her banner flying out behind her beautifully, and her black and white ribbons looked like an extension of her bodice. Her muscles rippling underneath her bay paint coat shone in the sun light as she moved.
